Antioxidant 1010 (pentaerythritol tetrakis(3-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionate), CAS 6683-19-8) is a high-molecular-weight hindered phenolic primary antioxidant. Its high molecular mass and low volatility give excellent extraction resistance and long-term thermal stability, making it the standard protection package for polyolefins, styrenics, engineering plastics, elastomers, adhesives and hot-melt systems. It is frequently combined with phosphite secondary antioxidants and hindered amine light stabilisers.
