PVC Resin
CAS 9002-86-2 · (C2H3Cl)n · HS 3904.10
Polyvinyl chloride resin (PVC, CAS 9002-86-2) is a thermoplastic polymer produced by polymerising vinyl chloride monomer. Suspension PVC (S-PVC) is the largest volume grade family, classified by K-value from roughly 57 to 72, and is converted into pipes, window profiles, cables, films and rigid sheets. Emulsion or paste PVC (E-PVC / P-PVC) has much finer particle size and is dispersed in plasticiser to make coatings, synthetic leather, gloves and flooring. PVC is inherently flame retardant because of its chlorine content, is resistant to acids and alkalis, and is compounded with heat stabilisers, impact modifiers and lubricants to reach the target processing window.
Application scenarios
- Pressure pipes and fittings
- Window and door profiles
- Cable insulation and jacketing
- Rigid and flexible films
- Synthetic leather and coated fabrics
- Flooring and wall covering
